This was introduced by, or in honor of, Col. James E. Pepper, of Kentucky, propietor of a celebrated Whiskey of the period. It was said to have been the invention of a bartender at the famous Pendennis Club in Louisville, of which Col. Pepper was a member.

INGREDIENTS:

2 oz. Copper & Kings American Craft Brandy
1 bar spoon Demerara (2:1)
1 dash Angostura bitters

INSTRUCTIONS:

Add ingredients to mixing glass filled with ice. Stir well until chilled. Strain into rock glass with fresh ice.Garnish with cherry and orange peel.Try substituting the American Craft Brandy with Butchertown Brandy.
