This year, we’re celebrating 502 Tuesday by honoring something birthed straight from Louisville culture… The 3rd annual Launch of the Derby Crown!

The Derby Crown isn’t just a hat… it’s a Kentucky staple. As the saying goes, heavy is the head that wears the crown, and this one carries meaning.

This crown is dedicated to the organizations across Louisville that are creating pivotal change and doing the heavy lifting throughout the Derby City. It honors those who lead, serve, and move the culture forward every single day.

Initially launching in 2024 in proud collaboration with Trust Black Women.

Back in 2025 with Sewing Seeds of Faith.

And this year… they’re doing it even BIGGER.
